Space Odyssey

OMEGA, Tourbillon and Pacific Symphony hosted a VIP cocktail reception and dinner at the Tourbillon South Coast Plaza Boutique on Thursday, October 20th in honor of Brigadier General Charles Duke who was module pilot on Apollo 17 and is one of the 12 men to walk on the surface of the moon.

Guests of the dinner included Pacific Symphony board members, donors as well as South Coast Plaza executives and media. Immediately following dinner, the guests went to Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall for a special performance of “Space Odyssey” by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra that coincided with beautiful footage of Earth (land, river and ocean) from space (shot from the space shuttle and from the International Space Station). The images showed both the shuttle and the ISS themselves and continue on a voyage showing beautiful vistas of the moon, some planets, our Milky Way galaxy, other galaxies, and the largest structures of the universe.
