Enamel Painting in Tourbillon Moscow
On November 23, 2011, Boutique Tourbillon Moscow and Montres Jaquet Droz honored an ancestral art with a 21st century interpretation of traditions. Painted on the Petite Heure Minute dial, the enamel painting, decorative elements, show up best on an ivory Grand Feu enameled dial, the “canvas” on which the artist –or dial-maker - expresses his talent. It takes at least a week to paint with very thin brushes under microscopic monitoring the dial, which will then be fired at each step of the drawing. These special skills are reserved to a few truly exceptional pieces with a limited production, and was shown in the Tourbillon Boutique.
