Oldworld charm and gorgeous modern creations

On March 8th 2006, corresponding to the International Women’s Day (specially celebrated in Russia), the famous Kurhaus in Baden-Baden was the scene of a memorable Russian ball organised around the theme of the original Vienna Opera Ball.

Within the splendid setting of this historical building specially decorated for the occasion, several hundred guests, mostly from Russia, enjoyed a gourmet meal served by a chef from St. Petersburg as was the custom in the time of the Tsars themselves.

Elegance, beauty, music and artistry were celebrated in truly grand style amid a magical atmosphere.

The magnificent programme was graced by the presence of several famous Russian artists, while the local Tourbillon Boutique in Baden-Baden put on a fine display in the shape of an exhibition of watch and jewellery creations by Breguet and Léon Hatot.

The interest thus aroused was confirmed on the following day by the many guests who decided to pay a visit to the Boutique in order to get a closer look at these marvels of fine craftsmanship.
